The afternoon at Fred Segal Home in Malibu unfolded with an ease that cannot be staged. Set against soft coastal light, we gathered to mark the debut of the newest Leisure Society collection—one shaped by time, craft, and quiet intention.
The experience was shared alongside an intimate presentation of work by fine art photographer Todd Weaver, in collaboration with Fahey Klein Gallery. His cinematic portraits and studies of the California coastline echoed a familiar sensibility: patience, precision, and respect for process. The dialogue between Weaver’s work and our Japanese-made, individually numbered frames felt instinctive—each informed by restraint, each defined by detail.
Guests moved through the space unhurriedly, engaging with the collection in its natural setting. Champagne was poured, conversation lingered, and a relaxed game of pétanque unfolded—competitive in spirit, casual in form. The collection was experienced as intended, surrounded by the elements that inspire it, including the unveiling of a bespoke, one-of-one frame created exclusively for the occasion.
Fred Segal Home provided a fitting backdrop—its legacy of independence and discernment mirroring our belief that true luxury is felt rather than announced. The afternoon was defined by craftsmanship, connection, and the beauty of considered gestures.
