Cloud Atlas, based on the epic novel, covers six separate time periods depicting the actions of one another in the past and that effect in the present and future. Starring a cast led by Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, and Hugh Grant, the storyline baffled the actors, but they had confidence in their directors.
